David O’Meara – Trainer

The Equality Racing owned horses are trained at Nawton in North Yorkshire by the outstanding young trainer David O’Meara. To say that David has made a good start to his training career is a gross understatement. His achievements since taking out his licence in June 2010 have been little short of miraculous!

After a quick start in 2010 he improved again in 2011 with  47 winners and prize money of more than £400,000 for his owners. Big race successes were also a feature, with victories in the Group 2 Henry  II Stakes and big handicaps including the Great St Wilfred at Ripon.

And in 2012 it got even better! The Nawton trainer and his team rattled up 65 winners and more than £600,000 in prize money! The winners flowed throughout the season and the big race winners also continued to raise the profile of the stable.

Stable stars in 2012 included Penitent who won two Group 2 races and contested at Group 1 level, whilst Doc Hay, Pepper Lane and Dutch Rose continued the stables fine record in top handicaps.
